My "Service Engine" light came on last weekend. I drove with it for about a week, now it went away. What could have caused and should I worry about it? It is off now and he car seems to drive fine.

Thanks.

It could be a lot of things... Perhaps it has to do with the emissions (cat, O2 sensors, etc) since it went away. Perhaps you can take it in to the dealer and tell them what happened. The ECU may have stored the code and you can get it checked.

The first place to look is your gas cap. The light will go on if it is not tight.

I agree with checking the gas cap. I had that light come on to and I went to the dealer and they reset my computer.

There was a post concerning cat. converter or o2 senor throwing false error codes... the solution is for the dealer to reprogram the computer. Do a search and it'll give you more detailed info.

BTW, I had the same problem and it wasn't due to the gas cap.
