Drive by Wire

Is it better not to take off the accleerator pedal? Will disconnecting the wire cause any problems? I need to drill my pedals and I don't really think I can do it while they are in the car. I am just concerned about messing with the accelerator pedal. Anyone drill the actual pedal, not the support arm?

Cool, well I just wanted to make sure there where no problems with disconnecting it. Was it a b!tch to do?

OT-I am not sure. It is factory if you can believe that. I thought it was a little dark for factory but I love it.

disconnecting the entire throttle assembly was a piece of cake! you definitely shouldn't have any problems....

OT- i think i may have the same tint then, because mine came like that too..i just thought yours looked a little darker than mine, but you can never really tell from the pictures...

Did you just have to disconnect inside the cabin near the pedal?

OT- Yeah the pic has been photochopped so it probably looks alittle darker.

yes, sir! just follow the wire to the plug and disconnect it, then you can take out the pin that holds the assembly on, and out it comes...
