MAF question

and yes, ive been through the faq......which answered some questions, so thats good stuff. anyways, does anyone know a company that makes a performance mass air flow sensor for the 3.5? i know on z28s and other cars a good maf produces some nice gains in power.

thanks

jim

Unless you're pushing massive amounts of hp, the stock one is fine. Check the all motor forum for further info.

I've read that the 2001 MAFs for the 3.0s were stronger than the 02+, maybe you can try one of those?

Don't say that, it's possible to confuse people.

They arent as delicate and last longer. They wont add hp.

I didn't say they would add HP, just saying I've read they last longer and less prone to fail.

nice

and no, youre not going to confuse me with that. im not too shabby around engines. but this is the first car ive owned with a MAF and never worked with them, which is why i dont know the difference between the high performance ones and stock. if its just the sensor itself, then thats easily solved. diameter? easy.

Even boosted Maximas have the stock one in palce and tehy work fine. Look into othrer areas if you want to add hp.

2k1 MAF part#22680-2y001 (~$90) is one of the strongest MAF available for us 5th geners. 2k3 MAF part # 22680-am600 is as strong and it has a temperature wire in it ($400+).
