2002-2003 Bose Headunit Repair?

I'm not having any luck in the audio forum so I decided to try here. Has anyone opened up their headunit in an attempt to repair the left channel from cutting out? I don't have a warranty because my car has a salvage title so getting it replaced is not possible.

Check ebay. I saw a couple of factory radios on there up for auction. Unless you know what your doing I wouldn't open up the radio, but that's my opinion of course!

Nissan doesnt even bother fixing them...they get tossed into a big trash bin. Our HU is no better than a $80 clarion you can get at best buy. You can search ebay or junk yards or take it to a repair shop...but your best bet is to replace it altogether and enjoy the much better sound coming from a decent HU.

I did exactly the same thing. Panasonic CQ-C5110U Head Unit w/ Scosche OEM Amplifier Adapter and PAC SWI-X Steering Wheel Audio Control Interface

Yeah, sometimes going with an aftermarket HU is better because those radios are alright i guess, but if you spend alittle more money you can get something better and save yourself a headache
