trying to sell me on the new Altima. I bought 2 different cars from this salesman. He wants me to come in and check out some Altima photos. (I've already seen plenty at nissannews.com.) He said they've already put their dealer order in and they should have them in stock in late August. There's no way I'm buying a new Altima or Maxima out of the gate. I will wait until late in the production schedule (Spring 2002). The new car bugs will be worked out and the prices will be better. Financially speaking, I should just hang onto my 2000 Max and enjoy the ride. We'll see if my heart or my brain wins that argument.

One of the DC Maxima guys test drove the new Altima nd Maxima last week. (Part of a marketing study) He said the Altima handled and drove nice. (He has a 2000 Max)

This is my 1,000th post!

Remember our conversation we had a couple months ago? L10 tranny plus sc will be cheaper than trade-in.

Yep... remember that.

I'm 99% sure I'm going to hang onto my Maxima. Now that I have my issues/problems resolved, it's more fun to drive. If I get a new Maxima or Altima, it will replace my wife's '96 Taurus. Trying to sell her on that. She just finished paying it off, so it's going to be a tough sell. She likes not having a payment.

Yeah Gaithersburg Nissan. It's going to be tough watching all those 3.5's driving around. I hope they get terrible gas mileage! Yeah... that's the ticket.

I'm doing the same thing - my wife just paid off her '96 Accord and I am trying to sell her on a new Maxima or Altima. She also loves not having a payment. She promised to drive it until it dies. Oh well - here's hoping for a bum Honda that dies real soon!!!!
