XM Installs
I know this is not the ICE forum, but I was wondering if anyone has some pics of an SkyFi install in a 5th gen. I am just wondering about mounting positions and running the antenna and power wires.
Thanks guys any help is appreciated.

I had a Roady 2 for a while. I dropped XM and replaced it with a 40GB MP3 player. I used the same mount and hard wire kit. For power I used one of those cig lighter y adapters and tapped into the cig lighter power. I ran the intenna down and under the center console under the carpet and followed the wiring on the right side of the trunk hinge.

I have Sirius and like it a lot. But anyway, I mounted the antenna under the air dam on the sunroof then I snaked the wire under the headliner and down the side of the front window. You can't see the antenna from the outside or wires inside. Reception is great. On my wife's 99 Max I mounted the antenna on the deck behind the back seat. Reception is very good there too. On my Pathfinder I mounted the antenna ontop of the truck and it has the best reception overall. However, I didn't want to alert the local criminals to the fact that I have an aftermarket radio on my cars since the antenna is much easier to see. I also mounted the sirius tuner under the passenger's front seat and all other wires in the wells under the rug. The sound quality is similar to FM and sometimes it sounds close to CD's. I don't miss commercials or static.
