If you never put one of those on, I would take your car to a professional. Hood is easy to put on but the rest is PITA, especially the bumper.

Definitly worth the money, and plus you got it for a good price.
I need to get one after I touch up all the marks on my front bumper.

Im getting my front end repainted right now cause I had a butt load of rock chips. That is the reason I bought one of these clear bra's. I will post pics when I get my car back and get this put on.

What's up FiF gen? I am new here, and since I can't post new topics, I am happy to finally have a reply to another post that's meaningful. I was reading the thread and remember a How-to on installing a clear bra (I believe the one in the How-to was manufactured by 3M) at the following location:
http://www.innerbean.com/housecor/clear_bra.html
I have found his site pretty helpful.

btw, I drive a pearl white '02. Just got it in May...have installed clear front sides, PIAA Xtreme white fog lights, and Polarg Hyperwhite clearance bulbs. I know that's not much but I'm just starting. Any PMs with some hints/tips/advice would be appreciated. Eventually, I'd like to have one of the signatures that you all use on here, and be able to post some pics. Laterz

I'd be a bit leary about the quality of the bra. I bought the InvincaShield brand, just the hood part and it was $65 on sale. Usually full front kits go for over $200.

The hood part is easy to install, but the bumper is a real PITA. If I got the bumper part, I'd want a shop to install it.

There's been a number of people on here that have installed clear bras. I've heard they're pretty good.

Just to let you guys know that THAT clear bra IS NOT 3M Scotchcal film. A friend of mine bought it for his car and it's not 3M.

I installed the invincashield on the bumper and it was a pain. Doesn't look great but the paint is protected. Maybe the one you have is cut different and may be easier install. Good Luck.

I have had a clear bra on my Max since July 2002. I paid a lot for it, but it has been every bit worth it. Get the 3M stuff. In 6 months to a year you will be glad that you did. Knock-offs could damage the paint or yellow. My clear bra looks the exact same as when I got it, except for a few rocks that punched into material but didn't reach the paint.

I got my hood protector from Invinca Shield last year and bought the bumper protector on Monday from Invisible Mask. Note that both use ScotchGuard 3M. I had no troubles with hood installation and a year later it still looks as new. I will install the bumper when it arrives. When searching for bumper protector, I found the same one on eBay but it is not made by 3M. I was told by the pro installers using clear protection films that 3M makes the best stuff... Judging by my experience with hood protector, I think it is worth a few extra $$$... Here is the InvisibleMask.com info for 2K Max:

BTW, during my research I found Invisible Mask to be the cheapest for 3M...
