So I took apart my Umnitza DDE Ballast
I was having an issue with 1 of my rings so I decided to do some testing.
I used a continuity tester on 1 of the wires and guess how much voltage came out of that little thing?
188.0 VOLTS! Insane

[QUOTE=Igor911]that wouldn't be an issue, remember, it requires 12v to power up, that little inverter/ballast makes all that power. INSANE
But isn't that 188V continually being drawn out after the initial 12-volt start up?
I feel stupid for asking this because my father works for the power company.

oh , and why is that so abnormal. its a ballast, ballasts are similar to transformers, they bump the voltage quite a bit but use a very small amount of current.
why dont you test the ballast on the other side of the car (the working halo) and tell us what you find.

The working side ran 188. Now thats with just 1 ring lit up. I wonder if it splits by 2 if there are both connected
