weird block on the clutch line

i got my ss clutch line in a while back and put it on. well i took out the distribution block that made the line into two lines. the ss line that i got runs from the master cylinder to the tranny. was i suppose to keep that distribution block in there. just curious. i mean my clutch works fine just asking though.

i think one contiguous line is the way the ss is supposed to be. doesnt make sense to cut and splice for the sake of a distribution block
