Engine rumbles at 2000-2500 rpm

Well my radiator fan assembly is damaged so if i turn my a/c the car overheats rapidly. I didnt notice this til one day i was parked talking to my gf and the car was in D with the hand brake on so and the A/c on then i noticed the car like jumped up,so i noticed thatthe car was super heated. I turned the car off, after that its been rumbling at 2000-2500 RPMs. What could i have damaged?

Thanks

could have damaged heads or gaskets, but hard to say without a more specific description...

it could just be the fans

I'd be more worried about the damage you did to your transmission by putting it in D and then putting the handbrake on.

more than using the normal brakes?

you mean nissan designed a transmission that will fail if you leave it in drive at a stoplight?
