Brembo Crossed drilled & slotted rotor's

I need rotor's and was wondering if any one would oppose to the Brembo Crossed drilled & slotted rotor's? I found them on Ebay for 250.00 for the set. Are these as good as any others that are mentioned on the forums?

I would try to stick to just slotted rotors, some of the time the rotors crack around the drilled parts, this happened to a 2 of my friends cars. see if you can find a set of just slotted brmbos, I think that is the best personally.

Blanks are fine for daily driving... I doubt slotted really bring much to the table unless you're gonna be road racing or auto-xing.

Look in the GD section for possible deals on rotors.... I remember seeing some a while back....

I just put the drilled, slotted Brembo rotors on my 00 maxima. Granted I only have about 500 miles on them, but so far so good. They work so much better than stock.

Hello all, I'm in the similar dilemma also in getting new brakes. I've seen on eBay the Irotors full set, ( F & R slotted and drilled rotors, Axxis brake pads and stainless steel brake lines) I'm wondering if it's worth the $429 or just buy something else.
I'm wondering as well if any has these brake rotors and how are they holding up?

Here's the web site:
http://cgi.ebay.com/Nissan-Maxima-02...QQcmdZViewItem

Thanks for any info given!!

Brembo does not make front rotors for 2k2 and 2k3 Maximas. There catalog lists it as "NYA" for Not Yet Available.

I have a pair of 95-05 nissan maxima Stillen Big Brake 4 piston brake set up for the front. Red calipers with cross-drilled 13" rotors and stainless steel brake lines. I had them on my 02 maxima for about 8 months. Now parting out the car to sell. All hardware and items are included for complete setup. Brakes and rotors are in great condition, no damage or faults. Let me know if you or anyone may be interested. It was originally a 1700 system. I am willing to sell for 850 plus delivery.

I stand corrected, when I visited their website earlier today, the catalog said NYA for 2k2 and 2k3 Maximas. I just checked again and it stated they are available. Maybe they finally updated their catalog.

They are not yet available cross drilled/slotted brembos fro 02/03s. The company does the drilling themself. They are brambo blanks that the company does themself.

I tried to order them and I called for days and sent emails and never got any responses. I just let my mechanic get the brembo blanks for me. $175 for fronts.

I actually got lucky. I didn't have the Powerslots as long as I thought I did and the company I purchased them from is going to replace them at no cost. They recommended that I get Ceramic pads for the Powerslots and Powerslot recommends against Ceramic pads.

On another note, do slotted rotors really make that much of a difference venting gases for heavy street use? I'm really hard on my brakes even though I do no racing whatsoever. I didn't notice much of a difference in stopping with the Powerslots.

Yes and no. You will most likely be able to go longer and harder on the brakes without noticing any fade on them, however as the total surface area is reduced with slotted rotors and even further with Drilled, the stopping power is essentially less. Racing cars do not use slotted or drilled rotors because of the high pressure placed on the rotors.

Brake pads will make a hell of a difference on our cars. The harder the brake pad compound, the more braking force you will have. However, they put up a lot of dust and they can cause the dreaded "squealing" sound on stops.

Personally, I have powerslots with Hawk Composite pads and I like them. If you do a lot of braking on twisty back end roads and like the looks, get them.
