2000 Auto GLE...

Is there anyway besides going to the nissan dealer to get my ECU reprogrammed/updated?

-putting my new MAF in on thurs., just asking if anyone went anywhere else besides the dealer...

Unless you have a consult II, you're SOL. Other than that .. just like autozone likes to say, Dealer "item" in this case, more like dealer procedure.

 

My friend has a consult tool, hes not in town so I can't ask him whether or not he knows how to do the ecu reflash. Is it a simple procedure or something complicated where u would need set instructions?

 

right but even with the CONSULT II tool, how would you update it?
you need to upload the software update into the tool and then upload it into the car... i can get my hands on the consult II, but the question is, how & where do i get the ECU update?

from ASIST, youll need a svc tech to do it for you
