Is Warpspeed the only company that makes subframe connectors?

I ordered the stage 1 subframe connectors from them about 4 months ago and still haven't received them. Every time I call (once or twice a month) a nice lady answers the phone (I can't remember her name) and tells me Dallas should have them finished by next week. If Warpspeed is the only company that makes these, then I'll patiently wait. If not, then I'm definitely getting them from somewhere else.

Funny you should start this thread....I just posted the same question - didn't notice yours!

I'm sure Matt Blehm has the "ability" to do it, but as I recall he has some "deal" with Dallas that he won't make them (non-compete agreement I guess...)

Trying to get either my money back or another set of the stage 2's that fit. I have had no success and it has to be going on for well over a year.

Dallas, I am still waiting on your call back.

Nope...haven't been charged yet. Either way it really doesn't matter though, because I used my debit card & I've already balanced my check book. So as far as I'm concerned the money has already been spent. I just really WANT the connectors dammit!!

No matter how many times I request a sticky warning people not to buy through warpapeed it will never happen and so blame maxima.org for letting the members consistantly get screwed by this guy dallas. Dallas will continue to screw members over because he is a scumbag.

why don't you pick up about 10 of them, mark them up $20, and then re-sell them....I wouldn't mind paying a little extra to actually be able to get in touch with a distributor (you) who I know is reliable....

I will call em up and see if they are going to sell em to me if I show up there to pick up a few sets. I dunno if they are willing to sell me that many sets, but I'm sure I could stuff 3-4 sets in the trunk of our Legend.

This is a 5th gen forum and I don't think that having sfc's installed on a 4th gen is going to help us. Our problem deals with them not fitting correctly, something that you 4th genner's don't have to worry about.

Dallas won't return my call because he never got around to correcting the stage 2 problem and he doesn't want to refund me my money. What's worse is that I spent good money on getting these things powercoated.

Mike,
Suggest you concentrate on a stage I first of all, since you will be able to sell more of them, and they are a pretty easy design......

I need to talk to my sources 1st in order to see if making these is a viable option.

If they do decide to go ahead and make something, the design will be similar to the Warpspeed one, I'm going to make it in 2 stages. 1st stage will be weld in like the WSFC, and 2nd one will just bolt on to the plates provided. WSFC Stage 3 will be incorporated to stage 2 of our connectors. I'm going to go a few steps further, possibly offer a tie bars for the interior- similar to the Sparco design for EVOs etc. It goes between the B pillars and offers mounting points for a racing harnes.

I know this might interest you Josh Since I know you NEED a harness when autoXing.

yeah, I've seen those on some of the classic cars Irun with that don't have roll cages close by.....would be interested to see how easy they are to put in/take out, and whether they just attach to factory points or something else...a bar like that would make for a good camera mounting point as well .hmmmm......though I would have a tough time paying $300 for that, since I can just mount a harness to the rear seat seatbelt bolts if I want to....

Blackbird was wondering if he could pick them up. So I told him that they installed them on my friends car. So that tells him that he CAN pick them up and they would install....

I mount my harness to the rear seat belt buckle mounting points, and remove the rear seat all togheter when I autoX. I am awaiting some new seats for my Maxima- Corbeau, and I would like a tie bar similar to that Sparco one for my Sparco Clubman harness. I'm also conteplating on taking the Max out of daily driving duty and gutting it all out and making it a total race car.

I have experienced similar customer service issues with WSPD and Dallas. I currently have the stage 1 on my 2002 and I must say it is a tremendous improvement over just fstb, rsb, maxspeeds w/illuminas. I have been waiting for about 3 months now for the stage 2 and everytime I call. He keeps saying they are going out fedex today or tommorrow and this has been happening about every week for that long. I have gotten numerous excuses as to fedex lost the shipments etc.

I don't think he is necessarily a "scumbag" but just they don't have the manpower or space to replicate these. I don't think these are as easy to build, as the y-pipes they are known for, and which I have owned many of. My local shop "Grand Muffler" had to really manhandle these to fit correctly as they tabs and everything were a little off. Regardless of how simple these sound to build, I think it will pose a challenge for anyone else attempting to do so especially considering the low cost. However I am with you guys, I would definitely be willing to pay a little more for a guaranteed delivered product!

I had the stage 1,2 on my 98 I30t and really liked the rigidity and benefits in ride quality they offered so I am going to continue calling until my stage 2 arrives for my 2002.

I'm pretty sure they'll tell you that there's nothing to stop by and pick up becuase Dallas hasn't finished making them yet.

it would probably help if someone with sfc's took measurements of the spacing between the mounting plates/length of bar as well!
