CRAZY method to get into your car if you lock your keys inside...NO TAMPERING REQ.!!!

This only works if you have a SPARE keyfob.

(1) Call the person whom has access to your other keyfob on your cellphone
(2) Point your cellphone towards the car and tell them to hit the OPEN button
(3) Get inside your car

...I heard about this on the news, and being the perpetual skeptic that I am, I did not believe it. BUT IT REALLY DOES WORK!!! The signal on the keyfob is a digital signal, so it will flow right through the phoneline to your end and open 'er up.

It is actually complete BS.

The remote uses IR [infrared] aka light..
its not a sound.

As far as I know, A cell phone does not transmit light.

This is completely false...

First and foremost, the KEYFOB does not use IR. It does use RF (Radio Frequency), now concerning the transmission of radio frequency signals over a phone connection, this is highly unlikely as a landline phone or any phone be it cell or anything for that matter does not re-transmit RF from an external source.

it works on some cars and some phones.

tx frequency has to be able to be carried by phone, rec'd by sending phone and broadcasted by other end.
