ECU reset Question

Will reseting the ECU also erase the learned idle air settings? I just had the dealer performed Idle Air learning procedure yesterday...I want to see if reseting the ECU will help out the surging and pinging problems I'm having.

The ECU reset sequence should include re-learning the base idle . . . it is part of the standard process.
