i noticed on my friends max that it pops up slightly when he presses the trunk release. on mine it just unlocks and stays down. i noticed that there are "torsion bars?" connectingthe two arms together and they work to push the trunk up slightly on his but not mine. is there something wrong with it andif so how do i fix it? I have a spoiler and he does not.

 

Ive had 2 maximas a 2000 and now a 2002. my 2000 just proped up about an inch when opened...my 2002 comes up more when opened like maybe 7" or so. They both had spoilers...I think it has to do with how many timees the trunk is opened and closed.

 

anyone how i can fix this?

 

my 2k has always just poped, then you would go open it. I like that alot.

mayb u got somethin in there pushin it up to come out lol just throwin out crap lmao

 

mine pops about an inch...

 

if u want it to pop get rid off those bars and put in some gas shocks like hood has.
