Ok, here's a shot of the cluster with everything mounted...

...and a shot of the rear seat uppers done...

...and here's where you see how insane I really am. I am sure you are all familiar with the LEXUS QUIET INTERIOR WORKLOG I have been working on, and here's another spot commonly overlooked. If you listen to where the noise in your Max is coming from, you may notice that the majority of it comes from the rear. ALOT of this comes from the trunk. SO, in order to further quiet things down, I SEALED THE REAR OF MY SEATS. Here we see the application of a layer of Damplifier and a taping of the sides with foil tape...

...and then I followed up with a laye of Sludge.

Here's just some random things I felt like showing.

Cryptopsy's new CD is due out on the 18th, but I preordered it and got it TODAY!!! The nice thing is that thy also send you lots of sampler CDs, good for finding some other good bands. The CD is one of 10,000 limited edition copies. I got all this shipped for a meager $19!!!!!!

Here are my 4th gen clusters. They will be the final part of the overhaul. I will be selling my old one once it's in.

NOT looking forward to splicing and soldering this. I might just use some spade connectors to make it easier. Still ALOT of soldering no matter how you slice it.

Lastly is Sparkie. He smelled so here he is getting a bath followed by a haicut. NOT a happy camper right now.

Just out of curiousity, how much extra weight do expect all the extra dampening material will add to the car? I would love an extra quiet interior, however I am concerned about weight and such.

162lbs. I am going to dress up he engine bay next year, and I am not particularly interested in making my car go faster, so some extra weight is not going to cause me to lose sleep. If I wanted a faster car, I would have boguht one with a bigger engine.

Panda, SUPER cute puppies, dude.

Cool

Your point is a good one. You can only do so much with a FWD V-6.

You better bring your car to the Johnson Park meet next year in July, I want to see the hotness with my own eyes!

Alright, after solving my problem with the right rear speaker, and a massive EMI problem, I FINALLY got the dvd player working right...(sorry for the lack of muliple pix, you'll know why further down)

...and now for the bad news...I didn't get better pix today because my F'UCKING AMP ISN'T WORKING!!! I need to call Arc Audio tommorow and see what needs to be done in order to get this thing up to speed. I am so ******* upset right now...so close to being done, too...

I'm waiting on some new carpet to come in so I can cut it and lay it down...I want my box to be on a nice, clean floor.

But more than that, I need to get this effing amp working first.

Just your plain-jane Microvision Screen. Sorry about the lack of pix, I had somewhere I needed to be last night, and I was pressed for time. LOTS O PIX TONIGHT.

The suede will tighten up when the remaining peices are put into place.

I would, maybe someday...but I am going to start custom fiberglass peices for members in the new year.

Haha Metal, I am only watching the progress of this project and I feel tired...lol...I understand the statement bout not wanting to do this ever again. I however want to attack this kind of project after I get my Jdubs kit installed and the car repainted.

again, this work is beautiful....let me know when you are free to attack the cluster....

Alright, here is a shot of the final door...

...and a shot of the interior...

...and some crappy shots of the trunk...the trunk is a bit dirty from moving the peice in, needs to be cleaned, and the rack polished.

More pics as I get the time...right now I am REALLY pressed for time...the missus' birthday is coming up next week and I am planning a HUGE party, so my time is stretched REALLY thin.

Thanks, guys!!! The wiring an amp tuning have taken WAAAYYYY longer than I expected. I will try to finish wiring up the amp and fully finish the trunk. Here's the attack plan to come, so you know what to expect:

- Finish trunk...GOD the system sound orgasmic with the deadening
- Put Glovebox back in and route wires to my little electronics center
- Finish last bit of painting central air vents & wire LEDs
- Reinstall C-Pillars
- Enjoy hainvg my friggin' inteior back together

...that should probably take us through this week and into next. More pics as things develop!!!!
