I'd like to replace the OEM headlight bulbs with something else, perhaps some PIAA Plasma's? Does anyone know of any good online stores that offer decent aftermarket bulbs that work well with the 5th Maxima? I'm going for the HID look, but I want a bulb that's going to last more then 6 months. I've heard some of these aftermarket bulbs don't last to long? Any feedback would be appreciated.

Hey Draco.
Well here is the setup that I have.
For the headlights I have PIAA plasma H4. I got them from courtesy nissan for about 80 bucks.
For the fogs I have custom yellow fogs with a yellow piece of plastic with PIAA ion gold bulbs. These bulbs were 30 a piece. So 60 dollars total.
The front side marker I have PIAA plasma wedge bulb. I got these for about 20 bucks.

Now for some good bulbs for the money.
I like PIAA. Because the colors are cool and I've had these bulbs for a year and no problems yet *knock on wood*

I also like Koito White beam H4's. They sell these at courtesy nissan as well. They are very white with a slight hint of blue. Out of all the bulbs I've tested this one has shown the biggest amount of visiable light.

Another cheap alternative are Philips blue vision 9003 (same as h4) You can get these from K mart for about 6 bucks a bulb.

Good luck

eBay

check ebay, usually one guy will be selling one bulb(piaa plasma), and he'll sell it in h3/h4/wedge styles, and if you buy it all together, he might give you a discount...

Yup the headlights took less them 3 minutes to install both.
The fogs are kinda hard if you don't know what you are doing.

I have Raybrig Thunder White H4 bulbs for my headlights and Philips H3 BlueVisions for the fogs. I really like the combo. The H4 philips aren't a whole lot better than stock, but I think the H3's are a lot better. The Raybrigs are awesome though.....

try autobulbdepot.com or carparts.com if you can find one of their first time buyer coupons. I love PIAA and have multiple sets including Xtremes, Super Plasmas, and Ion Fogs.
