D2S has no cutoff so it will look as if it gives out more light, but it doesnt. It will just give more glare to oncomming drivers.

I just changed this post because I saw your edit...so basically...I just wanted to know if the glare would be bad enough to draw attention from cops. Thanks.

yeah, I added an EDIT mins after I posted.

I have pics somewhere of my 2000 max...I just have to find it.

I found a pic of my HID fogs compared to stock...this might help

I also edited my post above after I saw your edit. Any pics you can find would be great as well. Was the 8000k kit HID or just halogen bulbs?

...Geese you're too fast for me...you already posted the pic before I could even add a new post...just the degree of the glare question remains...do you think the 6000k HID kit would produce enough glare to really draw attention from cops or **** off oncoming traffic if the headlights were aimed properly?

not at all. As long as your headlights are aimed properly, you should be alright.

found a pic. These were before I aimed my headlights a little bit lower

yeah those are the piaas 8000k...the pic is bad, they were REALLY BLUE.

Same thing on the 00 01, just the turning **** is in a different spot. You can adjust it up and down, left and right.

There will be glare but it will be so little (if you adjust the headlights) that cops won't give a ****.

I asked Umnitza about their HID kits for my 2000 Maxima...

same type of kit as Helios...6000k H4 Hi/Lo and Umnitzas is a little more pricey (~$50) and I asked about the color of the 6000k and the glare issue in stock 2000 headlights and they said the color is mostly white with a hint of blue (just like Helios said) and he said "There should be no glare." So I guess that eliminates my worries about glare (Umnitza and Helios HID kits for my car are pretty much the same and wouldn't differ in terms of glare I don't think) ..I just gotta aim them down a bit more so it won't be shining up too high

It is clear now... well Helios and Prolumen are the same thing just the name change but everything else is the same and yes once again if get the D2R 6000k you will get perfect color match ...

This is Umnitza's Xtec 6000K since they changed it from my color.

look on the back of your headlight. there is a white plastic ****, with gear teeth on the inside. turning it lowers/raises your headlight.

For 5.5th Gens, it's just a matter of changing the bulbs.

If I buy the 2k2-2k3 HIDs, are they pretty simple to install along with the wiring harness kit from Courtesyparts.com..? I know there are write ups out there, but due to high theft no one will post them. Does anyone have it that they could possibly e-mail it to me? Installing HIDs is the last mod I want to do to my car.

Prolumen Consistent color temp, exactly the way it should be.

Look for our link and description of the ProLumen product.
