Anyone ever ....

...had thier front windsheild replaced? raining heavy not too long ago so i had the wipers on HI ... had lots of squeakin noises while they were on. figured they were bad wipers blades however it was a metal piece of the driver side wiper that was carving into the glass!?!? wtF?!? the ring-shaped piece is attached under and near to where the wiper folds up. what the hell could have caused this. in any case i hear that once replacing the windshield its never the same again ... my dads hummer leaked when he had his front windsheild replaced. what to do?? how to fix?? thanks.

your insurance should cover it at no charge, its required in florida.

also, if you have a w/s replaced and it leaks, its the responsibility of the installer to correct the water leak... same goes for a wind noise that wasnt present beforehand

I just had mine replaced in July and love it. After 5 years there's chips and swirl marks and scratches. Put a new one in and couldn't believe the difference, and the wipers glide across perfectly.

Had mine replaced when a flatbed truck decided to park on my hood and crushed the windshiel, piller, hood, driver's side fender, HID's, and front bumper. You'd never know there was any damage now, though. No leaks or wind noise.
