this is the first time I have experienced a crack on my windshield (on any of my cars) and I dont really know what a good place would be to be it replaced from and how much it would be. I have temporarily relocated to Raleigh and I would appreciate it if someone from raleigh could tell me of a good place to go. So far I have received 2 quotes..one for 283(Glass doctor) and the other for 181(Safelite autoglass)..any feedback to fellow Raleigh'ers or anyone else on the location or price? I am originally from Canada, so not too sure what buisness to avoid)

you might want to try the regoinal fourms...

 

call your insurance. Most companies cover glass 100% and they'll even set it up and send the guy to you.

 

Canadian insurance companies dont cover it, especially if you are in the US.

 

I had mine replaced in Calif for $155. Calif tends to be much more expensive than other states so keep calling around. Try everyone in the phone book till you get something about $150.
