The top bracket that holds the battery is accumilating a lot of corrosion deposit (white/yellowish color). The terminals have no accumilation what so ever, anyone know why is corrision deposit on the bracket itself as opposed to the battery terminals?

same effect when you put a penny on the battery, the corrosion collects around the penny, keeping it away from the terminals.

It probably is because of a defect in the coating on the bracket. The coating is working where there is ample and continuous coverage.

Another material to apply is a "Marine Grade" anti-corrosion spray (~$6/12oz can). WD-40 will not do the job.

that will get it off, but it won't prevent it from doing it again.
