It works like any other WAI.... there are dynos of various intakes in the Dyno forum by Nmexmax, you should look those up.

Just a thought, but if ya wanna make the most of the input you get from people here, you should ask us BEFORE buying stuff. What were ya gonna do if people told ya it sucked? Just something to think about is all.

We are indifferent is all, it is a decent choice... intakes are nothing to get excited about because all WAIs pretty much work the same on the Maxima and provide the same minimal gains... there are dynos in the FAQs and in the Dyno forum, you can see for yourself.

well its seem my purachase hasen't been all bad then, so i'm just gona take it and run with it. if there is anything i'm gona get of it the its the awsome growl, which i love. but as i'm installing the intake, is there anything i should do before or after, i'm a newbee to this so i don't want to mess it up. people on other thread's say that they need to recet their ecu or the chekc engine light will go on. do i need to do with this intake as well. and if i do can u point me to a link where i can read about it.
thanks again guys, this really helps me out alot

The Frankencar intake is identical to the Berk... I have installation instructions straight from Berk here:

http://www.cardomain.com/ride/694087/6

Just follow that and you'll see that its cake... and there is no need to reset your ECU... I didn't reset mine and haven't had any CELs. You do have to disconnect your battery when you do the install, at least, its recommended.

Maybe someone else with a 2000 can chime in if things are different....

If you need pics on how to remove the stock airbox:

http://www.moodym.com/maxima/tech/injen.html

http://www.greghome.com/Greg%27s%20G...SE/ColdAir.htm

They are both for installing Injens, but the removal procedure is the same.
