Just installed a OSCAI
I installed my OSCAI this weekend and am pretty surprised at the difference. I was following the directions for a 2K max, and was expecting to see a resonator, but to my surprise, the "L" pipe that was to be removed was not there on my 2K1. I just thought it was interesting that it didn't have it. It was just capped off. I couldn't believe how easy it was, I should have done it from day one. Now, the pursuit of better and higher performance parts begins. Thanks for listening to me ramble on.

How much of a performance increase have you noticed according to your butt dyno? What type of piping did you use? Ridged or smooth? Just curious what methods people are experimenting with.

Hey Matticus...
Hey Matticus....
How have you liked that UPD you have on your Max? Are you driving a 5spd or auto? I am considering that mod, but haven't heard too many adamant opinions on it yet? Which is more bang for the buck...y-pipe or udp?
thanks dude.

The sawed-off-stub-from-the-L pipe where the shopvac hose attaches to, it can still function without the hose attached to it, right?
Reason I'm asking is when I bring my car to the dealer for any kind of [warranty] service and they find this shopvac hose extending from the L pipe, which is not supposed to be there, that they may make a note and refuse to do warranty service, beacuse it's a modification to the "engine".
I don't know, maybe I'm just paranoid...

Word around the board is that they can only refuse service if the mod directly caused the problem. So if you had warped rotors they couldn't refuse service if you had a oscai...
