something is going on with my car

so today i get into my car and start it up, while it was idling it started to shake for no reason whats so ever. so i applyed on the brake put it in drive and start driving, as long as i was going above 5mph it was perfectly fine, the second i slowed down for a red light, my car was shaking like crazy insane. then after 5 min of this crap it i made a left turn and it just randomly stoped. the rest of the time it was like brand new car. no shaking no noise. should i go to a mechanic for this. the only think i can think of is maybe whatever is holding the engine in place is starting to get loose. but why would it stop after 5 min. usually when i just start my car for the first 2 min when i press the gas it feels like its not sucking in enough air. like its taking really short breath really quick and then it goes ok after a while. i'm clueless to whats happening. you guys know. please let me know.
thanks

So its just an idle problem? Does it shake when you turn on the air conditioning too? Turn on the AC and that raises the idle 1-200 rpm and see if the the problem gets better, my guess is that it does. perhaps your car is just idling really low. do the usual tune up stuff...

and check this post out for the expensive fixes...

if it was your engine mounts youd definitly feel it every time you got on the gas pedal hard, so its probably not that

Coils or throttle body. Have both checked out.

My money is on coils.

Was it cold when it shaked? My car spazzs out liek that too , i live in texas and its always hot or above 80-85 and when it gets below 70 or liek 65 and under then i have to make sure to let the car warm up for sure or else itll start shaking or knockin when i drive. When this happened to me it went away when i went above 5 mph too but when i slowed down it would start knockin unless i put it in neutral it would stop but as soon as i put it in drive or reverse it would start up again. All I do is make sure it warms up and is definately not on the "C" (cold) and it hasnt knocked at all since I started givin it at least a few minutes to warm up in cold (for us in texas) weather.

I had the same prob today in my 2K, I got the check engine light and got to autozone and got a #2 cylinder misfire. I got back in my car to drive to the other autozone (the one that had a coil in stock) and the car was perfectly normal. I am just going to wait for it to happen again, but it was a coil for some random reason.

hmmm, i guess i can go to a mechanic and have him look at the coils, if i do need new ones, how much are they, i don't know if i should change them cuase i don't really have the extra money right now especially for something that happend only once. but then again, let a problem go on and it might turn into something worse. who knows.

Coils cost an arm and a leg. Last I checked, somewhere around 300? Please correct me if I'm wrong. :\

Yea thats whats so bad about having individual coils for each cylinder. I guess if you were able to isolate which one was bad you could just swap that one out, but thats probably bad technique since most people would recommend doing all of them. kinda like only changing 1 spark plug.

my question is if youre only getting that shake intermittently and at idle how can it be the coil(s)?

My car did the same exact thing. It was a bad coil. I replaced them all to be safe since the original ones have been updated with better ones. (The new ones have a grey dot on them now)

it finally gave up on me, i went to a shop to get wheel alignemnt and i was talking to the mechanic about what happend, he was like prob the coils, but don't worry, so i get my alignment and get into the car, start it up and whoop the problem comes back. check engine light went on, car started to shake, so they ran the codes and coil#4 was bad, 90$ to chanege, well see what happens in a week
