The Hotshots make between 25-29 hp untuned, and closer to 35 with AFR tuning.

Just a general dyno question.... why did ya pick a smoothing factor of 3 and what are the "guidelines" for picking a smoothing factor?

Numbers seem low... does the AFR look pretty lean to you starting out?

Runfile 03 is a 4th gear pull, 01 is a 3rd gear pull

3 gets rid of the spikes and doesnt hurt the peak #s. The difference between 3 and 5 is -.76hp/-.80tq (very minor). The range is about the same for 0 to 3 as well, but the powerband is very jagged looking at 0. So I picked 3 as a happy medium.

As for the AFR, yes it is lean before 4300. But, an SAFC/Emanage Ultimate/insertotherAFChere can fix it in a jiffy.

Maybe after tuning... it'll vary from car to car... we'll reserve judgement till later.

IMHO- your car makes really bad power, try tuning it some- if that don't help sell your Stillen headers.

Proud owner of HS headers.

DIN - Deutsches Institut für Normung

The German/Euro standard for rating power.

Blackbird: He has Cattman gen 2, and he's running leaner than all hell for the mods he has.

I would say a 30ish increase would qualify as substantial. For what it is worth my header money is now snow tire money but I will be able to provide before and after dynos when I get the headers tuned up.

HS headers and Gen1 Cattman were comparable. The gen 2s should have better mid range gains and slightly higher top end based on the dynoes done by cattman himself.

The HS seem better than these gen 2s in all respects

I know these are Cattman 2s :P Someone please send me both HS and Cattmans, I will install them both on a 3.5L and dyno them to see how much diff there really seems to be- and if the 400 dollar diff is worth it.

Sell em Stillen's.

Its not worth the $400 difference, they dyno within 1hp of each other. Check the All Motor forum
