If you are going to buy Nokya's, make sure you buy stage one and not stage 2. The stage one bulbs run on the stock 55 watts with a higher output. The stage 2 run on 100 watts and will kill your wiring. Other than that, i couldnt be happier with Nokya bulbs, i have them in my headlights and foglights.

For Stage 2 (Yes, Stage II) the wattage drawn is 55 watts. The OUTPUT is 100 watts and this is NOT the same thing as wattage drawn, which is all that matters bc it's the stress on your electrical system and harness. I ran the Stage II on my 00 Maxima for around 3 months before I got a HID kit (with no problems to harness at all) and while I liked the color (altho a little too blue for my tastes most of the time) I found that put out a little less light than the PIAA Xtreme Whites that I had previously which may be due to the fact that the road was lit up a light blue rather than a white/yellow.

I had people tell me that I was wrong and that they are 100 Watts, but trust me, my research after I bought them, and that website that I linked, that they are indeed only 55 watts drawn and are fine to use without upgrading your stock harness

With any aftermarket bulb, you risk damaging your stock harnesses in some way I suppose so there is no way of telling whether or not you'll be fine, but myself and several of my friends have run Stage II Nokya Arctic White bulbs and had no problems at all. Good luck with whatever you choose.

Yea, keep in mind the higher the Kelvin rating the bluer it gets, but the less useable light-output there is. This is especially true in halogen imitation HID bulbs. No matter how hard your try, you will not get the HID look and light output without doing a true conversion.

 

If your on a Non-Real HID budget compare the Silverstars. I've had both and like color range of Silverstar better. Plus I blew a Noyka in 2months (No I didn't touch bulb installing) I didn't have any wire issues out of them they were stage2. Silverstars going on 6months no blow outs.
Why do I have a feeling this is going to start another drawn out bulb discussion.
