So long to Maxima...and probably this board.
After nearly 4 years with my 2002 Maxima, it is time to turn
it in (lease).
So tomorrow it will be going bye bye.
2 months early on the 48 month lease, but I have
59948 miles on it and I get 60K on the lease.
It's been mostly my wife's car, and the longest car
I've ever kept. I've owned more than 30 cars in my
33 years of life (first one at 15).
We replaced the Maxima with an Infiniti G35
I have my Subaru Legacy GT as well.
Though I haven't frequented this board a lot, in the early
days of my Maxima, it was a great place to discuss the car.
I got the Maxima about 2-3 months after the 2002's and the
first Nissan car with the 3.5 VQ debuted.
Thanks for all the info when needed and discussions.
I can now be found over at
www.G35driver.com
www.legacygt.com
Take care all, we'll miss the Maxima, it was a great car.
One of you may own it some day, as I'm sure Nissan
will sell it at a dealer auction and it will be for sale on
some dealer's lot in the near future.
It's a white GLE with Enkei wheels.
Later all.

my dad tried to explain it to me long ago when we were looking for my first car, and if i remember correctly, dealerships are only allowed to be open one of the weekend days, whether it be saturday or sunday. i think that most choose saturday because that is the day that most people have the entire day off, and it's what everyone else is doing. there are a couple dealerships that are open on sunday in the d/fw area.
not sure if thats correct, but its what the coors light is telling me that i remember......

Closed on Sundays in Nevada as well. Never made sense to me either, especially since we sell booze 24 hours a day 7 days a week. My cousin just moved from Cincinnati where he was a GM at a Chevy dealership to be the GM at the Hummer dealer here and while he likes the day off, he doesn't like not being able to sell on Sundays. He said it was there second busiest day.

as far as i can tell, its just one of those weird left over laws from years and years ago, like pumping your own gas, although more states seem to have it. just like how in Bergen county, retailers STILL are not allowed to open on sunday, the "blue laws" going back to when sunday was considered the Lords day and no business was meant to be conducted.
sorry to jack your tread bro, good luck with the G
