damn that does suck. i refuse to drive my car into the city with my 19s, just for that reason. i am dodging things enough here on the highways and even surface streets, i cant do that in NYC and pay attention to the trafic at the same time. i never knew how the guys in the city did it, rolling on big rims like that, i guess this answers it, unless they are forged, its not gonna last. sorry man, even tho it wont look as good, it may be time for 18s.

I won't drive in the city even with stock wheels. The last time I did it, I was literally doing less then 5mph down the Streets. The avenues are usually fine.

damn that hurts to look at but it happens to the best of us. i drove my sisters 528i with 19" E46 M3 CHROMES and hit a huge pot hole. basically tore the lip of the rim.

you can try hammering a wooden block at it.

I've been here before....twice, looking into getting some new wheels, probably going down to 18's. I think that if rims regardless of size, doesn't have a lip then it's a little tougher to bend. But that lip just gets killed everywhere.

that's the payoff with ultra=low profile tires, sad to say...

that, and IIRC Konig rims are really not all that strong

IMO, 19's look best on the 5th generation. I opted for 18's as well, due to crappy roads in Indy............I feel your pain

Yikes! Yeah man NYC is pretty bad sometimes i feel like i'm driving on a slalom avoiding holes and bumps, but as bad as it is try going to Detroit. I spent the summer working out there and the roads are the worst! Good luck getting that fixed

Ohhhhhhhhh man, sad to see something like that. That's one reason why I didn't go with 19"s. I hit so many potholes already with my 18", and they're fine. If they would've been 19"s they would be gone a long time ago. Defenately go with 18"s next time.

just a question--y 18's there is nothing wrong with 19 in wheelz--I dont see how an 18 in wheel is not going to do the same thing if you hit a pot hole I have 18s but a friend of mine does too he hit a pot hole and fu#%$ up his rim

Maybe get some decent wheels this time. Kongis SUCK A$$. In fact, al american rims suck. Get some forged or semi forged wheels and youll be good to go. Even with 18's, if you get cast wheels they will eventually bend becuase of softness. Peace
