LOL i have no life, so I thought this up:

You know how a lot of people hate on the 5th gen maxima rear end? Well I thought of the reason why people hate it (specially honda owners) is because when you race someone, that all they are gonna see, and they see it all too often and learn to hate seeing that sight, lol I know its dumb, but had to post it.

so I guess, by that theory, people hate the rear ends of Ferraris and Porsches too?

btw, I can't recall anyone ever saying to me that they disliked the 5th gen rear end....except 1 or 2 4th gen owners.

(btw, I owned 2 Hondas previously and to tell you the truth, I never so much as gave a single thought to Nissan Maximas appearance, speed, or anything else before I bought one. Frankly, before I owned one, I wouldn't have noticed a maxima at all even if it had run into the side of my car. You're reading too much into how much - or how little - "honda owners" care about freakin' maximas - because they really don't care )

to 99% of the population, a maxima (particularly a stock one) is just another 4-door sedan, just like a Camry, Accord, Taurus, Grand Am, etc. In this area, 5th gen maximas are a dime a dozen - I see probably 20 of them on my drive to work every day. Most people save their "ooohs and ahhs" for exotic sportscars, or at least high-end senans (7-series BMW, Mercedes, Audi A8, etc)

...too many on here have the crazy impression that the average joe is "amazed" by their modded Maxima, much less their near-stock one
