I personally don't recomend them. I bought a set and they burnt out very quickly, go for something better if you can. This is my .02 though.

I need instructions on how to replace them as in, do i need to take the rubber from around the headlight off? It doesn't seem to want to unscrew so I think I'm skipping a step. And for the fogs, I don't see where I would have access to change it out.

The silverstars will burn out quickly if there is any oil from your hands on the bulb. I had them in my 97 max and they lasted for a year.

Dude, pull on the rubber covering and it will come off, its simple... As for the fogs... You need to undo the plastic underbody panels to access the fogs. Unscrew the fog assemply and push it forward and it will come out... The fogs are a wee bit tricky but nothing too hard. The headlamps are well self explanitory.

When handling HID just handle with a towel as to not get contact with your fingers.

There great.

Have had silverstars in my headlights & fogs going on 18 months no problems. Just like the other poster said make sure your oily fingers never touch the bulbs. Use a lint free cloth to wipe the bulbs if needed. Do the same with the bulbs in your house like in a lamp & you will see a long lasting improvement

I got silverstars recently. I had a PIAA go out. when I put one in to compare you could tell that the PIAA was more of a whitish color(maybe a hint of blue but I wouldn't even say that). The light output seemed about the same. I am actually getting some MTEC's though to switch out. I dont like the silverstar. It still has a stockish color to me when compared to other bulbs that illuminate just as well. Could just be me. Anyways they are a decent bulb.

I messed with this the other day to try and re-aim my fogs. The writeup I used is below, but one of the screws was being a PITA to get out and as it was about 27º out at the time, I really didn't feel like messing with it anymore. So long as you can get the screws out, it should be a relatively painless process.

I wanted mt fogs to match my headlights so I originally replaced my fogs with Silverstars, but was unhappy with the look. I have since swithced to PIAA H3 Extreme Whites for a much closer match.

headlights are plug and play.. remove the rubber cover (maybe be a little greasy) and swap out bulbs.. the fogs you have to do a little more work, look at how to's for HID fogs on this forum and youll figure it out..

when i had stock headlights i had no problems with them and now i have high beam silver stars in my 2k2 lights.. dunno how they burn out on you guys

you can get other bulbs. Just make sure they are stock wattage. Not garunteeing anything, but usually bulbs that are DOT approved mean they will not burn up your harness. otherwise, how would they get approved? but since they dont list the wattage of their bulbs, there is no way of telling without contacting them.

and italiano, the bulbs in the e-bay link are not HID bulbs, they are bulbs taht are made to "look" like HID bulbs. They are your regular old H4 bulbs.

With the amount of money i spent on Headlight bulbs and harnesses on my 4th gen..i could have bought a nice NICE set of plug and play hid's. Learn from my mistake and go buy yourself some. They look sexy and theyll save you a headache in the long run.
