fog light problems...
I had a rock go through my passenger fog light so I ended up finding a replacement light on ebay. It was from an aftermarket company but was a lot cheaper than the ones from nissan. It fit great but I installed my new piaa's at the same time as changing out the fog light and now 2 days later, the lens is cracked. I am guessing it's from the heat. The stock fog light is fine though. Has anyone had this problem before?
I had the same problem. Did your aftermarket foglight have "Depo" imprinted into the glass instead of "Nissan". I had Lamin-X on the foglight and it turned brown after a few days of use, then the foglight lens cracked. I also have PIAAs in them. My OEM foglight also with Lamin-X has not cracked or turned brown. I think the aftermarket foglight cant handle the heat from the PIAA bulbs light the OEM foglight.
my guess is that the aftermarket one has a thiner lens and cant handle the heat or is made from glass instead of plexiglass. if you take a water glass and put hot coffee in it it will crack. i was looking for a fog light for my car because its cracked and found some for good prices. http://www.autobodypartsonline.com/c...10105423290.67
