The setup will come pre-fabbed for direct hook-up. Hopes are to set up the tails to plug right into the factory harness. So basically, yes, a resistor will most likely be needed, but either way that will already be done.

As for how much will I be charging...let's just see how the project turns out first. One step at a time guys...I'm really trying not to think of money as of right now. Just want a quality/bad-a$$ product. LED's just arrived and I've got a set of housings in the mail right now as well as the perf boards soooo should have something to show soon. Keep the hype up guys, can't wait for results myself.

Yo Kev if you guys want, I might be able fab a carbon fiber housing if any one is interested, that will take me a month or two since my business is beginning to really pick up, Let me know what you think.

Sounds good if you really want to get serious about it! I like the sounds of all the input guys keep it coming. Metal must be brewing up something up there. He's a little too quite as of late.

Too busy working on my cluster...

Lemme put it this way: NO ONE has done what I am going to be doing. Not on the .org, not in any car I've seen.

Let me guess. Each tail light will have 3 1/4" holes drilled through the side, as if, they were door jambs

Unfortunately I have not recieved any package from you yet or skierxx5556 for that matter, however, I'm sure the holidays just have them hung up somewhere so it's all good. On another note, I did recieve the perf boards in the mail so design and layout can commence!!! One step closer. Results are right around the corner!!!

Kevin you are in gville, I will def be hounding you about doing my tail lights. How long do you think they will take to make because I don't have a spare set. How convenient, I never thought I would meet any .org members in little ol' gainesville. Let me know maybe we can get this done before school starts, I'll be back in town in a few days. PM me so we can discuss.

Alright fellers, finally got back home to find 3 packages at the door step. Everything must have come in the day after x-mas. Anyways, I got both sets of tail lights, big thanx to Italiano and Skierxx5556, so I guess now we can let the games begin. Skier's set of pre-dremeled tails has really given me a sneak peak at how fun these housings are going to be to reseal but if there's a will, there's a way. At least somewhere off in the distance. Let the games begin!!!

Makdaddy, are you going to use two circuits, one for each light? or just one to control both taillights?

hopefully this will get this thread rolling again.......
i know i am not the only one who is working on this, so lets see some updates. i want to see whatelse others have done/plan to do.

my progress so far.......
-tails opened
-prototype PCB layout for 1st LED array finnished
-will etch and drill PCB w/ in the week,
-maybee even get all the LEDs and resistors soldered by next week?

for my 1st prototype, i decided to stick w/ the OEM pattern & colors...
top 2/3=red brake-marker lights
bottom 1/3 = yellow signal lights

i have some other layouts that will use all red, that i may try on other proto boards

damn even like that i think it will look nice as hell........ but i still like the idea of all red LEDs even for turn signals
