Morning lag ..

after hours of lettin the car sit.... if i dont let it warm up and drive off right away the engine would be hesitant and then eventually run just fine. Even when on idle later that day it may stutter sometimes too. Within the last month it has turned off on me. Am i gonna have to ALWAYS let it warm up before i head out? im in miami so the temp cant be that bad. i was told that it might be the oil thats too thick since my last oil change. what the hell could it be?

Mass Airflow Meter (MAF) is your most likely suspect.

Then you guys need to clean TBs 1st and if that don't do it, go to the dealership and get your updated programs for the 'updated' MAF that is in your vehicle, I hope you have your receipt from when you purchased your MAF

Do the 2002s have the same problem as the 2000 and 2001 with the bad MAFs?

If you have already upgraded your MAF to the newer update, green dot, you will need to have your ECU reprogrammed in order to get rid of the hesitation in cold weather; cold operating temperatures.
