I would have to say it is your bearings. I had both rear bearings replaced and it got rid of my hum, I did not have a cupping problem, I had them replaced as soon as I heard the hum.
Edit: the dealer replaced mine, they put in all new rear hubs with the bearings. I did not care about the cost because my extended warranty covered them.

Can't you check to see if its your bearings by raising the front wheels off the ground? If you can shake the tire back and forth and it has play in it (Not stiff to the suspension) then it could be a bad wheel bearing....
Note if it has play only left to right and not up and down, that's usually tie-rod-don't misdiagonse the problem.----Usually if it gets louder while turning in one dierction, that's also a sign of a bad wheel bearing. Usually it gets louder when you turn it one way and quieter the other, if I remember correctly.

The hum you hear could be the cupped tires... Have your alignment checked again and you will have to replace those tires anyway, see if the Manufacturer will pro-rate them under a warranty.... What tire are they?
My old Saab had an alignment problem and it cupped the hell out of the Pirellis that were on it, and when you drove the tires started as a hum, then it went got louder and started to vibrate. Pirelli covered the tires and put new ones on...

Yeah - that's a good way to diagnose a front bearing
My rear wheel bearings have gone out 3 times (twice on one side), and each time I couldn't feel any play. Once I replaced the rear hub assembly though, noise went away and she rode smooth. Anyone else have that happen?
Cost and where to get:
Do an online search for the bearing/hub. I know the rear is an assembly, and you can usually get one for around $100. I don't remember how much the fronts go for.

I would still get the alignment checked, what happened to my Vector was, when I had the summer tires re-installed (pirelli) I also had them do an alignment. The dumbass F*ed it up and ruined the tires, That was the worst Saab dealer I have ever seen, they told me that it takes 3hrs to mount and balance low profile tires because they are difficult
I could not help it, I just sat there laughing at the service manager...
