Last night was great! But I need to setup the story. I originally bought my wife a 2001 SE. And she is very protective about it and really doesn't want me racing it. But last night I had the car and I was on my way to her office to pick her up from work. The drive from my house to her office is about 25 minutes driving time.
The only mods I have on her car is the FSTB and all new lights. So her engine is stock.
I have seen a lot of Acuras and Hondas all raced out lately. So about 9:45 PM I am driving down the road and stop at a light. A power blue Integra pulls up and revs his engine. I look over and he has all the typical stuff (lights, huge tachometer, lowered, exhaust, etc). He says he wants to race to see how much faster his car is. That kinda set me off. So in a friendly tone I said, "Sure". The light turns green and he stomps the accelerator and takes off. His muffler is blaring and he is thinking,"This guy is toast." Unfortunately for him, I am two car lengths ahead of him! "That was just too easy!", I thought. So at the next light we did it again. This time he took off right before it hit green. So I followed him for about two seconds before I overtake him. And as I am passing I give a friendly wave. He didn't like that so he pushes his car even harder. His car sounded like it would explode! He gains about two feet and I casually turn off the overdrive and quickly leave him behind. The last thing he saw was my emergency flashers four car lengths ahead as I drive away at 90 MPH.
I pull into the parking lot to pick up my wife and she sees me smiling. She asks,"Ugh, I had so much work to do! So, what did you do this evening?"
I reply with a smug look on my face, "Oh, nothing."

I never realized how powerful the Maxima really is. I am so happy with my, uh her Maxima!

That's showing that Integra! Yeah!

Now just hypnotize your wife during her sleep to switch cars with you. She'll never know.

Commercial

The commercial idea sounds good but I am not sure the guy in the powder blue Acura would do it.

nismo, Powder Blue Integra

y'know what's funny, most people put huge tachs on civics and integras but most of them don't even have a turbo. a properly tuned turbo'd B18A/B can put out close to and even above 200whp, the B18C1/5 in the GS-R and Type R are a little harder to boost cause of their higher compression ratio...too bad some people are all show no go

But all show always gives the car added HP no matter what! Simple car science.

Just like a civic DX with the Type R sticker for an extra 20hp

so, that powder blue integra with a huge 10,000rpm tach (no turbo) must have thought he had an extra 40hp...either that or he thought it would strike fear in the hearts of all who dare to challenge the powder blue
