New Fog Rewire feature: Accidently discovered

dunno if anyone has found this out but i kinda accidently discovered it. when you do the fog light rewire modification and shut off your car with high beams and fogs on and press the keyless lock feature on your keychain, your fog lights blink on two times with the car horn as well.. looks sick when you have 6k HIDs.. probably looks good with the yellow fogs as well.. probably bad for the lights tho so i would only do it for show once in a blue moon.

you'll burn out your ballast or bulb if you keep turning your HIDs on and off.

The 02/03 should turn your lights off after 45 seconds if left in "Auto" mode and i think 5 mins? if its just on a regular park light/headlight setting.

well i dunno how it works for the 02/03s, i thought they would be the same as the 00/01 converted ones but maybe not. i know for my 2000, they shut off automatically, but im sure the 5.5 gen are different since you can leave your lights on with the auto feature when you shut the car off.

lol.. maybe it doesnt work for the 02/03s, but all i know is i followed housecor's fog rewire howto, so if you have a 2000 it should work i guess, and maybe not for 02/03. sorry to get your hopes up =\

thought it was bad for the bulbs/ballasts thats why id only do it once in a blue moon for show..

Who the hell would put HIDs in the high beams anyway??

But yes, repowering HIDs without them cooling down kills the life of the bulbs.

HIDs are not meant to blink like that
it shortens its lifespan
