DIM SES Light

At night my SES light has this very faint glow behind it.

When i start the car the light comes on bright as day as normal and during the day you dont see it, but at night there is this faint glow from it.

I took the car to autozone and the car spit no codes. i cleared the ECU anyway and the same issue.

Does anyone else have this problem?

The car runs fine.

It's a known problem. There have been many threads about it. I've had it since I got my 2k2. Replacing the cluster will fix it, but I've learned to live with mine. If there is an actual problem, the light will light up brightly.

Yes it's a know problem. My 02 also had it and i had the cluster replaced under warranty. I wouldn't live with it if i was you. It annoyed the hell out of me at night seeing it glow a little. Nissan is well aware of the problem so take it to the dealer

I had thought about taking it in to get the cluster replaced, but given the skill level of many Nissan techs, I was worried that the end result would be worse than living with the dim light.

you will probably be fine cause only a certain tech can do it. When i took mine in i had to make an appointment cause they had to have a certain tech install it. The only thing they did which benifited me was when he set the odmeter back it wasn't correct. I took it in with 32,000 miles and when i picked it up. It had 31000 miles. Other then that i highly doubt the can screw it up.................
