blue fog light capsules

ive been through about 3 pairs of fogs now and im about to give up on the white fogs and get some yellow luminics, but before i do, i was wondering if there is a blue capsule for the fogs just like the yellow one that can be used with our fogs. anyone know anything or have a similar solution??

blue lights are ALWAYS illegal, anywhere on the outside of the car, unless of course it is a law enforcement vehicle.

if they made blue-glass capsules like the yellow ones I/others use, they would definitely put out blue light because of the thickness of the glass....

best option if you want the white fogs are either "hyper" "super" "crazy" "ultra" or whatever white....that or HID fogs.

am I missing something here? it seems like he wants to buy blue capsules but wants the output of his foglights to be more white....doesn't the blue capsule defeat the purpose of shooting white light?

no, the blue capsules would make the stock yellowish fogs more white depending on the thickness of them. it would kinda be like lamin-x i guess, but i dont want my fogs lenses to be blue during the day.

why not get the yellow capsules, and just use cheap-o stock bulbs, rather than the Luminics yellow bulbs, which won't last as long, and cost more

just remember...in order to get them as good as you saw them in my pictures...you have to re-aim your fog lights higher...cuz the stock height cannot reproduce the brightness seen in my pix...

well then again...maybe i HAD to aim my fogs higher...cuz i am slammed 3.5 inches from stock...if your stock height, maybe theres no need to reaim them...just pointing that out

You can't beat Irish's foglight capsule mod. Nothing beats the deep yellow output.

Regarding the blue light thing you should naturally stay away from blue tinting. Essentially you're tricking you and other people's eyes into thinking the fogs match the 'color' of the HIDs. Tinted bulbs, tinted capsules over the bulbs, any of them are just going try to match the color and essentially diminish any potential output of the bulb. Also if you find a capsule and do the modding and it turns out not to be the color you want, you SOL. I vote that either you buy OEM quality replacement bulbs that are tinted or preferably do the yellow capsules mod it and call it a day.

steven - im not slammed but im on htechs so ill probably re-aim them a little along with my headlights

anyways....how long have you had the luminics on, im assuming not long but its worth asking. i dont wanna buy these lights and have them end up burning out in less than a year.

progress - what would you consider to be a oem quality bulb....ive been through piaa, silverstars and another pair of fogs so far.

ok i know what your talking about, istead of blue, how about sky blue/light blue capsules? so it gives off a whiteish/slight blue tint? that way you can get the regular bulbs that actually last and have the HID look.

thats what i was trying to say. the capsules wouldnt be blueblue, but rather a sky blue or a lighter blue so they give off a whiter light and since youd be using oem fogs, they wouldnt burn out for a while

Philips, Sylvania/Osram, GE. In that order. I've recommended this site (http://www.autolamps-online.com/halogen/index.htm), frequently. They are a good distributor and I've ordered from them in the past.

I had them on for like 3 weeks now....umm...a little too early to determine their life expectancy....but my homie who is a luminics sales rep....says he doesn't get too many returns on blown bulbs...and if your pair does blow out within one yr...you get a free replacement...
