help! insane amount of wheel hop!

ive got a 2000 5spd, i get wheel hop when i launch it but I figured it was just my driving skills, when i get into first and slowly start, then floor it when i get to around 3500 rpm, by the time i get to around 5000 rpm i get insane bone jarring wheel hop, i did search on this before and read about it, my car has 90k miles on it and i have the stock 17's and pilot sport a/s. I was thinking it was the motor mounts but Im open to any suggestion to stop this, is there a way i can visually check the motor mounts without removing them? thanks in advance

stiffer motor mounts and after market springs/struts would fix that

How many miles on the tires? That sounds like bad traction to me...

I dont wanna have to change my struts and springs, my tires only have 1200 miles on them, new pilot sport a/s so i guess thats not the problem, my car has 85k on it and none of the previous owners changed the motor mounts so im thinkin i need some of those

I had major wheel hop with my worn Azenis about a year ago, and I have had another couple of sets of tires on my car since then, and the wheel hop hasn't come back. I say check your tires. Your tires may be new, but to see if its not your tires that are causing a problem, put another set on to see if it does the same thing.

EDIT: A method to check the motor mounts is to have the hood open and have a person to examine how much the motor moves when the car is put into gear. Usually, when the motor still below operating temperature and the car is put into reverse, the motor will sound abnormal. That's another symptom of bad motor mounts.

im running the stock 2000 SE suspension, as the 3rd owner i dont know when the last time the tranny fluid was changed, i guess ill have it changed and see how it feels, shifting is smooth as butter tho

Is a way to check if the motor mounts are bad, if you rev the engine by hand in the engine bay and the motor moves? just a thought

the engine is gonna move if you rev it regardless of the motor mounts, its all a matter of how badly it is moving

Exactly, that's why you reduce the amount by putting aftermarket suspension components.

I'm going Place Racing mounts with Tein H-Tech's and Tokico blues along with a new OEM sway bar becuase...uh....I curbed my car -_-

1200 miles on your Pilot Sport A/S tires and you're abusing them like this?

Energy Suspension makes pretty good polyurethane motor mounts as well.

motor mount inserts are what i need right? I was under the impression that ES made actual motor mounts that replaced stock ones, if my old motor mounts are broken or osemthing I will change them but if they are jsut extrememly worn and i use these inserts with them will that still take care of wheel hop?

I have ruled out tires as my wheel hop issue because even with brand new tires I had/have the problem. I think it's the suspension, mainly.
