Alternator Blown
Alternator Blown
Just a question for you guys... The Nissan Alternator is 299 and change but i can go remanufactured for like 175... Anyone have bad experiences with remanufactured alternators? FYI I was looking at the Bosch Reman... Thanks for any help guys!
new or reman=price difference IMO.
Reman means the internals where fixed and the usually trouble components where replaced..... As long as the parts where replaced with oem quality or better you should have no problems..The warranty is a good indication of the reman quality.

Mine just went also. Too many electronics so im afraid this may happen again. My battery works fine and has plenty of power but I'll be gettin a yellow top when it goes. I was looking for a high output but cant find one for the max (at least for under $500). Paid $120 for what shop said 125 however they rate vs 110 for stock. A little improvement!
I replaced mine the other day (95k). Went with a New one @ $180 from Trenton NJ. He (shop owner) doesnt rebuild our alternators. He stated there is a part that melts (stator-?) and doenst get upgraded or replaced in a normal rebuild. However, it only has a 3 month warranty (no one offered more)
