I went into the dealer last thursday for a oil change. I also told them about a 1st to 2nd hard shift that I was getting. They came back and told me that I needed a valve body. I thought this might be strange but I said okay since it was covered under warranty. When I got home that night my check engine light came on, and my car stalled once but didn't do it again. I called them up Monday, and they said it was the valve body. I told them I never had any lights pop up on me or stalls. Do ya'll think they are jerking me around or could it be the valve body thats doing this?

 

might be, I know the 2k-2k1's had a service bulletin for slipping from 1st to second gear, and the solution is to replace the solenoid valve assembly part# 31940-85x03,
but again this is for the 2000-2001, I would like to hope they fixed that by 2003. (but probably not)
