memory seat neat feature

I dont think it says anything about this in the owners manual, but I was playing with my memory seat, and everytime you get in, you can have it set to move up a little back to your prefrence. i have it set up so memory 1 is my setting, and memory 2 is an "exit" setting (the seat all the way back and bottom all the way down) so when i park, i hit memory 2, than after i turn the car off and open the door I hit memory 1, the seat moves forward only, than next time i get in to drive, the seat moves the back bottom and everything back to my position. just thought it was pretty cool if anyone else wanted to try it. (just wish it had memory outside mirrors also)

Huh? The seat should do that automatically without having to press memory 2 every time you get out. I'm 6'4" so it doesn't do anything for me cause I already have it all the way back but when my wife drives the Maxima it automatically moves the seat back when she turns the car off and then moves back into her position when she starts the car again.

he means all the way back. when you have it on memory it just goes a little bit back, hes sayin put the 2nd memory to all the way back settings. its a little bit futher back and down. thats cool tho. im not a tall guy so it really doesnt matter for me, but for some other people it might be helpful.

seat only moves automatically if you have a auto. 6speeds don't offer that feature, but yeah I also love my memory seats........

my candaian 6spd has the switch for the 2 memory and the auto back(next to the heated steering wheel switch), but the auto back doesn't work like mentioned earlier. why have the switch and not just delete it if it isn't functional. you think that the wiring is there to make it work? also, i can't get my memory settings to work. how are you setting yours?

you have to have the switch on "auto" for this to work. in US the "move seat back when in park" is only for automagic equipped cars.

correct. If your switch is on cancel the memory seats won't work on the 6speed. I also don't understand the reason for having this switch on 6 speeds if it doesnt work......

Its in the manual. And as mentioned, autos have the "exit" feature, but us 6 speeders do not, even though we have the switch.

we still have 2 presets for 2 diff drivers. i use 1 preset for driving, and 2 for "napping" during luch hour. it's especially useful for taking long trips with 2 drivers.
