I'm Back!!!!!!

Well, I'm back. I finally picked up a new Maxima the other day and I can't quit grinning from ear to ear. I picked up a 2000 Charcoal SE Maxima. It's fully loaded with tan leather inerior, moonroof, heated seats and ........... 5 speed baby!!!!!! It has 91k on it and what feels like a brand new clutch. Also, had all ingnition coils replaced when it went through the dealerships inspection.
I'll post pics in a couple of days, just feeling kinda lazy. I'm still selling the 240sx if anyones interested.

Hey, are there any free mods that can be done on the 5th gens. I've been searching around the faqs and such but haven't found anything. Thanks

Timing advance could probably be considered a free mod... slip $20 cash to Nissan technician and your timing is set to 17 degrees

I'm cleaning my engine with Auto-rx, I will advance my timing as soon as i'm done with ARX treatments.

I'm not sure if you noticed this when you bought it, but it has 2k2-2k3 SE wheels on it which is a plus in my book. Anyways, congrats on the nice ride, looks like its in great condition.

$20 /= "free"

Then again, according to economic theory, nothing is.

Can you school me on what the AE headlights are? Is that not Anniversary Edition????? How would I get those free?

Yeah, I do love the 2k2-2k3 wheels and it also has a K&N filter.

Also, my next door neighbor helps me with all automotive tasks and he has the OBII (I think thats what it is called) hand held tool. I can use this right???? Sorry, on the 94 SE you just had to adjust the camshaft position.

Use this write-up, but use PlastX instead of water to remove the chrome:

Thanks for the write-up, I was planning on working on my headlights anyway, since they seem to be scuffed real bad and real foggy looking. I might give this a try to, if I get enough nerve to put my headlights in the oven.

the advantages of a more aggressive timing are quicker throttle responses, better fuel economy, and supposedly 10+ hp.

Nice ride you picked up. Congrats!!

How about doing the foglight rewire mod so that you can turn on your fogs independently from your headlights. Check the how-2 section for it.

I think they were in the Meridian Package. Also came with the ACC, heated mirrors and I think a few other things.
