Squealing noise upon acceleration?
Guys,
I have a 2000 GLE, and would appreciate any and all opinions with my problem here.
Have noticed a loss of power in my Max, as well as a squealing/whistling noise everytime I hit 3k-3k5 RPM or higher. Took it to the local dealership, they changed the 3 cats and the alt and the pipe, but its still not fixed. The car drives the same basically still, again.
Does anyone have any ideas as to what it could be and how to fix it? I've done regular oil changes, tranny flushes, etc so couldn't be a lack of maintenance for sure, my only concern here might be the tranny dying.
Thanks!

with all due respect, have you adressed your belts as a possible cause?
if not, check the seating of your belts with emphasis on distance from belt to each retaining flange of each pulley, also look for residual wear on one side of an individual belt. and of course post results, hope it works.
