Now I know all of you are going to flame me (once again) But I thought this would be the fastest way to find out what problems and glitches are most frequently associated with the 5.5 gen 6-speed.

I have a 5th gen 5-speed. I know pretty much every problem and glitch associated with this car.

Reason I'm asking is because I might be selling this car and getting a 5.5 gen.

 

common problems are VTC cold start up rattle and 1-2k rattle....I have the cold start rattle but not the 1-2k rattle....

oil consumption is another common one...not as common as the rattle though....I see majority of VQ35s don't have oil consumption....

MAF is also another prob...but thats just 5th(including 5.5) gen in genera....I don't really see vq35 coilpacks go out either...but I do know 5th gen coilpacks go out quite frequently...l
