01 SE AT Tranny, Throttle body, EGR ? Please help
Guys, please give me some advice.
My max (83k) had new plugs, K&N drop in, tranny flush AMSOIL, etc. at 60K. No engine light comes on. Here's my recent symptoms:
Cold start if I don't let the car idle to 1000 for 3 minutes, it dies when put in gear. Let it idle down, fine. Coincident with that problem has been two others. If I'm cruising at 30-50 mph, and I just poke the throttle 3/4 down for a half second, I hear spark knock. This occurs with or without AMSOIL PI Fuel Treatment in the car running 93 octane Chevron. If I'm cruising at 60, and 3/4 - full throttle, the car downshifts and gets to about 75 MPH and takes a LONG time to up shift, and prior to upshifting, I lose power. Seems like a slip to me, only way to explain the feeling. Running through the gears under normal throttle is smooth as it always has been. No jerks, mostly seamless.
I just cleaned the K&N AF, replaced PCV, (no improvement) and I'm wondering what else I can do myself to eliminate potential problems before I go and have her looked over for 80 bucks an hour?.
