limp mode?

Do the 5th gens have a limp mode? What usually causes it if the car does have it?

Hmm..So the maf would be the primary cause then, well, is there any way I can clean the maf? I know I can use brake or carb cleaner, but is there a specific cleaner for the maf?

Really though, I wouldn't spray anything on thr MAF unless you want to replace it for sure. There should be a code stored and the SES light on. Have the code pulled for free at an Auto Zone or whatever parts house you have nearby. Let us know what they say.

Yeah I already know the code, I have a scanner..It was the p0171 which said I was running too lean. After I cleared it that's when this started happening. If anything I'll just get a new maf through work Thanks for the help..I'm going to use electric cleaner to clean it..
