Does anyone have any idea what the second cable is next to the normal throttle cable? It could be cruise control.. but I don't think so..

Still trying to figure out why my throttle response is sluggish after some bad wheel hopping a few weeks ago...

If it is the cruise control.. what is the little acuator that sits above the normal throttle cable? Some sort of position sensor?

Are you talking about the big black round thing attached to the car?

The piece I am wondering about currently is the actuator that is hooked up to the intake housing that has a post that seems to be able to push the throttle piece forward regardless of the cable pulling it..

Ok.. the piece I was looking at appears to open the throttle a little bit during starting and then retracts.

As for my problem.. my local dealership (Habberstadt) tells me "everything is fine".. which means no blatent codes being thrown and the TPS is in spec. I know there has been a hp loss.. anyone have any ideas?

I think this weekend I may take apart the whole intake system and see if something got loose.. and failing that.. I'm thinking of having the car put on a dyno to get some hard numbers to bring to Nissan HQ.

On a secondary note.. my rotors have warped again after 11K miles. Dealer said "no way" to resurfacing them under warranty as they did it the first time at 11K (I now have 22K). I guess that will be another call to Nissan. Am I completely out of my mind in thinking that the car should have brakes that can stop it in Long Island traffic and not have to have work every 11K miles?
