Problems after CAI install......

Can someone please help me!!!!! I had my Injen CAI insatlled and now it feels like the car isn't pulling the way she used to. She used to pull like crazy from 3000 to 5500 RPM. Now it feels like it's sucking up more air than it knows what to do with. A buddy told me it may be the MAF, and another told me it could be the coil pack. Could someone please help........

Question.....anybody know the correct MAF voltages for the 5gen at idle, steady throttle and wide open????

Thx in advance.............

CAI's are known to cause low-end powerloss.

It could be that you fried your MAF while doing the install too.

Dude...you need to stop smoking crack. You got it backwards....CAI's have better power in the low to mid-range RPM's. It's the upper RPM's where it is a challenge, especially with the Injen.

what are you smoking?? CAI's do have low-end loss, maybe not as much as a short ram, but compared to stock it still loses some low end. CAI's are still good at the top-end.

why dont' you try to put the oem setup back on, and see if the problem is still there. this way you can test if it's the cai or something else. i noticed a significant low-end loss when i had an injen "long" cai.

Theres definately a tradeoff with intakes as said. Theres lots of threads talking about which is the best for high end or which setup is better for low end. The best low end pull is stock but that has poor high end. The best high end is a CAI but that has poor low end. If your MAF was bad, it wouldn't be just less pull, you would hardly be able to ACCELERATE at all, at least when mine went, i couldn't push it at all without the throttle cutting out, in fact.. I don't even think it would reach 5000 rpm no matter how easy I went on the pedal.

when you maf goes, the ecu cuts the engine to 2/3 power and limited rpm range. if maf is "starting" to go, and the ecu does not see that it's bad completely, you may get hindered performance anyway.
